En Madrid se presentó como novillero el 13 de octubre de 1912, al estoquear ganado de Pérez de la Concha con Algabeño II y Manuel Navarro; el 8 de abril de 1917 obtuvo la alternativa en Carabanchel de manos de Relampaguito, con Manolete de testigo y toros de Palha, y el 14 de julio del año siguiente se la confirmó Punteret en Madrid, con toros de Anastasio Martín y Félix Merino como segundo espada.Al terminar la temporada de dicho año 1918 marchó a América y recorrió varios países de aquel continente durante largo tiempo; en 1929 se dijo que había muerto e incluso se celebraron en Bilbao funerales por su alma; pero se desmintió la noticia, y cuando en 1930 regresó a la Península toreó algunas corridas en Portugal, en cuya capital, Lisboa, fijó su residencia y suponemos que continúa viviendo.
