Matador de novillos, natural de Murcia, donde vio la luz el 21 de marzo de 1947, que vistió su primer traje de alamares el 16 de agosto de 1970 en Blanca (Murcia). Ha actuado como sobresaliente de espada, incluso en novilladas con caballos.
